Terms of Service
The fair, plain-English rules for working with LaunchDraft.
Last updated: September 1, 2026
These terms cover using launchdraft.net and the website design, hosting, and care we provide. By using our site or signing up for a plan, you agree to them. We have kept them short and readable on purpose.
LaunchDraft is operated by Teresa Harvey (South Carolina, USA), who is the responsible party for contracts, billing, and payments. By signing up, you confirm you are at least 18 and able to enter this agreement on behalf of your business.

1.What we provide
LaunchDraft designs, builds, hosts, and maintains websites for local businesses. The details of your build — pages, features, and price — are set out in the plan you choose and the agreement you sign before we start the full build.
2.The free draft
We may build you a free homepage draft so you can see what your site could look like before you pay anything. The draft is offered at no cost and with no obligation. The draft and its code remain LaunchDraft's property until your setup fee is paid.
3.Plans, billing & auto-renewal
Our plans have two parts: a one-time setup fee and a monthly fee that covers hosting, security, upkeep, and your monthly edits.
- 3.AThe setup fee is paid before we begin the full build.
- 3.BThe monthly fee begins when your site goes live.
- 3.CYour monthly plan renews automatically each month and your payment method is charged until you cancel. When you sign up, you agree to this recurring charge; the exact amount and billing date are shown at checkout and in your signed agreement.
- 3.DWe send you a reminder before each renewal so a charge is never a surprise.
- 3.EPrices for your plan won't change without us telling you in advance.
Auto-renewal, in plain terms: the monthly fee keeps you online and looked after, so it repeats every month on its own until you stop it. You can cancel any time (see below) — cancelling is as easy as signing up.
4.Cancelling
- 4.AYou can cancel your monthly plan at any time — by email, by replying to any billing message, or however you first reached us. No phone calls, no hoops, and never harder than signing up was.
- 4.BHosting and edits continue until the end of your current paid month, then stop, and the live site comes offline. On request, we'll send you an export of your site's files so you keep your work.
- 4.CThe one-time setup fee covers work already done and is not refundable once the build has started. Monthly fees already paid are not refunded for partial months.
- 4.DThe domain is registered on our account and remains ours. If you cancel, we stop paying for it and let it expire; once it becomes available again you're free to register that name (or any name) with any provider you like.
5.Domains
A custom domain is included with your plan. We register the domain under our own account and manage it for you as part of your monthly fee, so you never get a separate domain bill. Because it's registered on our account, the domain remains LaunchDraft's property.
If you cancel, we simply stop renewing the domain and let it expire — we don't transfer it to you. Once it expires and becomes available again, you're free to register that name (or any name you like) with any provider you choose. Domains sit in a hold period for a few weeks after they expire before they can be registered again, so if a specific web address matters to you, plan ahead.
6.Who owns what
- 6.AYour content is yours — the text, logo, and photos you provide.
- 6.BYour site becomes yours once paid — after your setup fee is paid, you own the design and content of your launched site. The live, hosted version stays online while your plan is active, and if you cancel we can send you an export of your site's files so you keep your work.
- 6.CAny reusable templates, code, and tools we build our business on remain ours.
7.Your responsibilities
- 7.AGive us accurate information, and only content you have the right to use (your own photos, text, and logo, or ones you are licensed to use).
- 7.BYou are responsible for the content you give us and for your site's compliance with the laws that apply to your business.
- 7.CUse your website and our services lawfully and honestly.
- 7.DAny testimonials or reviews on your site must be real. We will not create fake reviews, and example content on demo sites is clearly fictional.
8.No guarantees on results
We build every site to be fast, secure, mobile-friendly, and made with SEO best practices, and we work hard to do great work. But we cannot promise specific search rankings, amounts of traffic, or sales — those depend on many things outside our control.
9.Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care, "as they are." To the extent the law allows, LaunchDraft is not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses (like lost profits) arising from your website or our services, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have that cannot be waived under the law.
10.Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for meaningful changes, let current clients know. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
