Privacy Policy
Plain and simple: what we collect, why, and how to reach us about it.
Last updated: September 1, 2026
LaunchDraft designs, builds, hosts, and looks after websites for local businesses. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit launchdraft.net or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
LaunchDraft is operated by Teresa Harvey in South Carolina, United States, who is the person responsible for the information you share with us.
On this page
1.What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. When you fill out our Start a Draft form (or email us), we receive:
- Your name and business name
- Your email address and, if you add it, your phone number
- What you tell us about your business and what you want your website to do
We do not have user accounts, we do not ask for passwords, and there is nowhere on the site to upload files. We do not knowingly collect any sensitive information, and we ask that you not send us any.
2.How we use it
We use the information you send only to:
- Reply to you and answer your questions
- Prepare your free draft and, if you become a client, build and look after your website
- Keep basic records of our work together
We never sell your information or share it for advertising. We do not send marketing emails you did not ask for.
3.Who else touches your data
To run the site and the business, we rely on a few trusted service providers. They only handle your information to provide their service to us:
- FormSubmit — your Start a Draft submission passes through FormSubmit's servers on its way to our inbox.
- Google (Gmail & Google Fonts) — we read your messages in Gmail, and the site loads its fonts from Google, which may receive your device's IP address to serve them.
- Our web host — serves the website and may keep standard server logs.
- Stripe and/or PayPal — if you become a paying client, our payment processor handles your payment details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and safety.
4.Our use of AI
We use AI tools (such as Claude) to help us design and build websites and draft content faster. To be clear about what that does and doesn't mean:
- We do not use AI to make automated decisions about you.
- We do not sell or hand over your personal contact details to train AI models.
- AI helps us with the creative and technical work of building sites — a tool we use, like a design app.
5.Cookies & tracking
Our website does not set advertising cookies and does not run hidden analytics or tracking pixels. If we ever add basic, privacy-friendly analytics, we will update this page first.
6.How long we keep it
We keep non-client inquiries for up to 24 months, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as we work together and a reasonable period afterward. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
We limit who can access your information and use reputable service providers to store it. No method of sending or storing data online is ever 100% secure, but we take sensible steps to protect what you share.
7.Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- See what information we have about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information from our records
Just email us (below) and we will take care of it.
Where you live: if you're in California, you can ask what we've collected and request deletion, and we confirm that we do not sell your personal information. If you're in the EU or UK, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to how we use your data. Either way, email us and we'll help — no special form needed.
8.Children
LaunchDraft's services are meant for business owners. Our site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9.Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
10.Contact us
Questions about your privacy, or want your information removed? Email us at douglas.launchdraft@gmail.com and a real person will get back to you.
This policy is written in plain English to be genuinely helpful, not to be legal advice. If a law in your area gives you more rights, those rights still apply.
